Fused not Fragile

Living with scoliosis beyond the curve.

This space is for anyone navigating life with scoliosis, whether you're newly diagnosed, years post-op, or somewhere in between, welcome!

Who am I?

I’m Fanny Simpson. I was diagnosed with scoliosis at about 11 and had spinal fusion surgery at 13. I’ve been fused for over a decade.

With a background in Biomedical Sciences and Human Anatomy with Education, I approach scoliosis and spinal fusion from both a scientific and lived perspective.

Here I go in-depth into the science behind scoliosis and spinal fusion, explore strength training with the condition, and, most importantly, share the stories of people of Black heritage living with scoliosis.
